NXNE/ CLINTONS JUNE 13TH 9:00pm

Well it's up the road to the big city for a family affair. Company House Records is putting on a showcase featuring Slowcoaster, Carmen and Tom Fun. The family's all here and looking to party down, so if you can get out do it early or you might not get in. If you don't I'm sure we can all get into some trouble after the show... is there anything to do in Toronto? We'll find something to do that's for damn sure.... love you all

Dance till the dancefloor breaks!!! Then dance more!!!

So we broke the dance floor at Hunter's in P.E.I.! You know why!? Because people in P.E.I. are crazy dancin' lunatics!!! All was not lost, however, 'cause we just moved to the other side of the room in the middle of a set and danced on into the night, with no injuries to show for it. When support beams crack, you don't talk back!!! If anyone has any pictures, please send 'em in so we can piece everything together CSI style for those who weren't there... And if anyone finds any bullets or a semen trail, let us know here at the lab so we can place the dance floor behind bars, or at least in front of them, for dancing!!! Grissommmmm!!!

This year Slowcoaster is nominated for Best Alternitave record, and Group of the year. The event is being held in Fredericton NB this year for the first time..........ever.
November 9th Weekend

Well, I guess it's time to shine in Moncton, fry balls style at the jolly old Manhattan. See if you can keep up while we get down.

Then it's up, up and away to freddy town at nikki sixx's (otherwise known as Nicky Z’s in Fredericton). We'll all be on fire til after close, and then some refreshing cold beverages will be consumed.

Zip, zip down the road to the only place where I've slept on a pool table (with my clothes on) in sunny and fabulous New Glasgow
at Fibbers. Take a car, train, two feet and a heartbeat or a crop dusting plane. You don't want to be the only one home on Saturday night, do ya? Do ya? No, ya don't.

RAWK-TOBER!

October; that faithful transition between the bliss of an East Coast summer and a crushing Maritime winter. Slowcoaster had a tremendous run of shows and events throughout October starting on the 5th at what I would call the most beautiful venue on all the east coast, the "Gothic Arches" in St John, NB. The Arches is a giant stone church converted into a live music venue. The show opened up with San Francisco based artist, That One Guy, who dazzled the crowd with his prowess as a one-man band. Slowcoaster played an up beat set of two and a half hours for the St Johners, which is always a fantastic time.

The next stop on Slowcoaster’s fun New Brunswick tour was at the Moncton Coliseum for the Molson secret mansion tour. We played a short but blistering set lasting 35 minutes. The three thousand or so folks there had a great time, giving way to a set by Vancouver’s Hedley followed by Montreal’s Sam Roberts.

AWWWW, it's good to be home! On the 19th, Slowcoaster preformed at home town fav venue, Smooth Hermans. It was so much fun to play for such a large and enthusiastic crowd on Cape Breton Island. It was great to see so many people supporting live music.

With November right around the corner, our schedule looks just as packed, but just as fun as October’s… leaving little time to dwell on the impending winter months.

Evolve 8, Aug 4/07

Best Evolve ever! One of the funnest shows Slowcoaster has ever put on. We played for two and a half hours but could have went longer for sure. BIG BIG props to the Evolve 8 crowd for their blistering show of support and great singing. Thank you mother nature for holding off the rain until our set was over. It was our first time on the mainstage in the dark and I'm pretty sure it was the electricity of the fans that brought down the lightning. We can't wait to see whats instore for next year. Great job every one.

The mountains, the vibe, the general "i wish I could stay here", feeling that you get when the possibilities seem endless. Once again the Rose and Crown pub was pumpin. It was exciting to play for old friends and new fans, introducing the band to people who have never seen us play before. I love the look on their faces . It's like christmas for music lovers.
Thank you so much to Jim Millie and the Fox Wood Inn for showing us such a great time.

Canadian Music Week, Toronto

March 3rd,
Bright lights big city! Slowcoaster Played a show case at the Kathedral, a spot at raegge night at the Horse Shoe tavern, and rounded the tri[ off with a banging show at the El Macombo.....wheeeewww, what a week. In between Slowco managed to slip in the filming of a video for the song "leave" from their soon to be released record "future radio. The video was shot using a still camera in many downtown locals, taking over 10,000 still frames. Very cool. The video should be posted by late June. BIG shout out to our freinds at Gibson guitars for letting us raid their wharehouse every day for different guitars to be used throughout the week. Can't wait to get back!

ECMA WEEKEND 2007

ECMA weekend for us was like no other year. Thursday, February 15th, heralded the first ever FashionEASTa event which brought together east coast musicians and east coast fashion, coupling Slowcoaster with artists like Windom Earle, Ameila Curran, and Ryan Leblanc among others, with clothing designers from the world renowned NSCAD art college. We played some of our favs while models strutted their stuff around a gorgeous set at the World Trade and Convention Center.

Friday saw us taking a short diversion from the ECMA festivities to play a showcase for the NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) conference in Nashville Tenn. with bands such as Mobile and gypsy punks Gogol Bordello. Showing up for sound check was interesting staring into a sea of cowboy hats and line dancers but as the showcase began students from all over the U.S. and Canada piled in to make for a crazy night of music and partying! ...and back on the plane!

Saturday - yeah back in Canada! And straight to the Marquee Club for the ECMA Rock Showcase. The place was electric with excitement. We decided to play a mix of old songs and new to give the seething masses a high-energy experience that they would carry with them for the rest of the weekend. The rest of the night, for some odd reason, is a blur.

Sunday, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, 'til 8 in the evening, cause we knew what was coming. We had a showcase at what is known as the best ECMA party in town, the Sennheiser party. After fighting our way to the top floor of the Delta we were joined on stage by our good friends Aaron Collier of JSB and Tracy Williams from Universal Soul. After rocking the room for about half an hour Sennheiser was nice enough to give us 3 brand new 900 series vocal mics. What an exciting and amazing time! Can't wait till next year when the ECMA's are held in Fredericton, NB for the first time.

See you all in T.O. in March for the CMW's when we get to do it all AGAIN!
